Local Flavour Plus: your link to local sustainable food

In July 2006, Local Flavour Plus was awarded a $1 million grant from the Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation. This three-year grant enables LFP to contribute to the success of Ontario's new Greenbelt by linking Greenbelt farmers with local purchasers.

Described as a win-win-win situation, the ground-breaking partnership between the University of Toronto and Local Flavour Plus (LFP) was officially announced on September 19, 2006.

Local Flavour Plus announces plans for a formal LFP inspector training program. Current LFP inspectors are all organic inspectors accredited and/or trained by the International Organic Inspectors Association (IOIA) who have received additional training in inspecting for LFP standards.
